JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Regional Program Manager (RPM)

LOCATION: MID-HUDSON VALLEY AREA, NY

Position Summary: Due to growth and expansion across New York, Today’s Students Tomorrow’s Teachers (TSTT) is seeking to increase staff in the Mid-Hudson Valley, NY region to include, Ulster and Orange Counties and Sullivan County. The emphasis on educational recovery, teacher shortages and equity has led to exponential growth, requiring additional staffing of career focused personnel in these key geographic areas. TSTT, is a nationally recognized non-profit 30-year teaching and career development organization that recruits, mentors, and trains culturally-diverse and economically-challenged students from high school through college, places them as effective teachers and committed leaders in their communities. The RPM develops, implement and coordinates the TSTT program in his/her assigned area by working with school districts, local communities and funders.

Responsibilities
  • Position requires RPM to work in multiple schools/ locations/communities
  • Work with school district administrators and teacher mentors to identify and select potential participants for TSTT program.
  • Provide training and support to teacher mentors, counselors, and student participants.
  • Support students in obtaining tutoring and summer internship placements and provide advice and counseling regarding college readiness and transition.
  • Cultivate relationships with business and community organizations to enhance program awareness, increase student enrollment and participate in program expansion activities.
  • Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Masters degree preferred
  • Knowledge of public education and higher education
  • Administrative and program management experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Personal transportation to meet travel requirements
