LEADERSHIP AND PROJECT COORDINATION SKILLS:

You have:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to multi-disciplinary project teams in the delivery of resource management and development initiatives/ projects
  • Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction to staff to lead the transfer, interpretation and implementation of resource management/development priorities and projects in the region
  • Proven ability to coordinate complex projects, including the development of project plans and delivering within timelines

ANALYTICAL AND STRATEGIC THINKING SKILLS:

You have:

  • Demonstrated ability to identify trends, needs and opportunities, and to develop and implement strategic approaches to address them
  • The ability to analyze information to identify potential issues and implications, develop viable options and recommend appropriate courses of action
  • The ability to consider client, stakeholder, Indigenous community and public interests when recommending strategies and tactics to advance ministry objectives

INTERPERSONAL AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT SKILLS:

You have:

  • Demonstrated ability to employ facilitation and conflict resolution techniques to encourage constructive sharing of diverse perspectives and enable effective resolution of issues and problem solving
  • The ability to employ tact and discretion, and to motivate others to achieve positive outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships (e.g. with colleagues, clients, other ministries)

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

You have:

  • Proven ability to communicate complex ideas, exchange information and promote open communication with a broad range of audiences (e.g., stakeholders, clients, colleagues, senior ministry leadership, Indigenous communities)
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare written materials (briefing notes, Minister’s letters, responses to media inquiries, work plans, technical reports, etc.) to effectively provide information to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to research, prepare and deliver high quality written materials
