CERTIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of progressive safety management experience
  • Steady employment history - at least 3 years at most recent employers
  • Design/Build - Construction of commercial building experience
  • 4-year degree in Safety, Construction, or related field (or 10 years of experience w/ BCSP certification)
  • OSHA 500 certification | Strong knowledge of CAL/OSHA
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (ExcelPowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills

Responsibilities
  • Report to the Safety Director, ensuring CAL/OSHA compliance and comprehensive safety oversight.
  • Monitor regional project safety metrics, overseeing 6-8 concurrent projects and coordinating with subcontractors.
  • Enforce safety culture and compliance, ensuring subcontractors submit site-specific safety plans.
  • Conduct safety audits, site inspections, and enforce OSHA/CAL/OSHA regulations.
  • Provide OSHA 10/30 training and regulatory updates to project teams.
  • Investigate serious accidents, recommend corrective actions, and ensure resolution of safety violations.
  • Develop and update site-specific safety manuals in alignment with OSHA and state regulations.
  • Manage safety compliance for a commercial/industrial design-build firm across multiple projects.
  • Generate detailed safety reports, identifying compliance gaps and corrective actions.
