Description Job Summary: The Regional Safety Manager is responsible for leading and managing safety, health, and regulatory compliance programs across multiple facilities within the assigned region. This role places strong emphasis on OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP) compliance, ensuring safe operations, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in process safety performance. Key Responsibilities: Lead and maintain OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance across assigned facilities. Serve as a technical resource and leader supporting site management, safety personnel, and operations teams. Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with OSHA and PSM/RMP applicable safety regulations. Perform regular site safety inspections and audits, document findings, and take corrective actions. Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns; prepare reports and recommendations. Partner with the Site Manager to address safety risks and support safe work practices. Provide safety coaching, guidance, and training to employees and contractors. Communicate regularly with the Corporate EHSQ Manager on site conditions, incidents, and progress. Required Qualifications: 7+ years of EHS experience in chemical manufacturing or similar high-hazard industrial environments. Minimum of 3 years of experience in PSM & RMP programs with the ability to lead associated activities at the facility and asset level. Self-directed and able to work without supervision. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices. Ability to travel regionally (typically 25–40%). Preferred Qualifications: CSP, ASP, CHMM, or equivalent certification Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering degree Experience with ammonia and other regulated chemicals in batch or continuous chemical processes Physical Requirements: Regularly required to walk, stand, and move throughout the project site for extended periods. Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work platforms as needed. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach while performing site inspections. Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds occasionally. Ability to work in outdoor and industrial environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and moving equipment. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, and fall protection as required.
