We specialize in premium and fine wines, sparkling wines, and artisanal producers sourced directly from Italy and France. We are the exclusive importer and distributor of Elio Grasso, San Polino, Roccolo Grassi, Le Potazzine, Eric Taillet, Michele Satta, Agricola Brandini, Lodali, Cigliano di Sopra and other artisans in Texas. We have built a portfolio that includes large formats and library vintages. Our clientele includes top restaurants, hotels, and retailers across Texas. We are seeking highly motivated salespeople with a passion for Italian and French wines. We are seeking a sales representative to work with off-premise and on-premise accounts in a territory encompassing the Greater Austin and San Antonio Areas in TX.
Position Overview
The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for the assigned territory, driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening relationships with distributors, key accounts, and on/off-trade partners. This leadership role requires a proven track record in wine and beverage sales, strong business acumen, and the ability to lead and inspire a team to exceed targets.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sales Leadership

  • Develop and implement a regional sales plan aligned with Vinello’s overall growth strategy.
  • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities in the on-trade, off-trade, and e-commerce channels.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions.

Account & Distributor Management

  • Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retail/hospitality accounts.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and promotional agreements to maximize profitability and brand visibility.
  • Monitor distributor performance and implement corrective actions when needed.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Setting clear performance targets and KPIs.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement.

Brand Building & Marketing Support

  • Collaborate with the Vinello team to plan and execute regional promotions, events, and trade shows.
  • Ensure consistent brand positioning and storytelling across all customer touchpoints.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Monitor and report on sales performance, forecasting, and budget adherence.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on market conditions, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the wine, spirits, or premium beverage industry
  • Strong understanding of wine regions, varietals, and industry trends.
  • Established network of distributor, retail, and hospitality contacts in the region.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the region.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
