Description

For Business Unit: Water
Managing key and general accounts within a designated area, developing and maintaining close contact with customers and end users from project inception through to completion and maximise the business potential for the company through exceptional customer service.

- EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience of selling activities in a pump, compressor or other rotating machinery environmen
  • Engineering background with experience of pumps and pumping system
  • Highly numerate with competent IT skill
  • Command of Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel/Powerpoint
  • Risk management skills and experience
  • Knowledge and practical application of ISO9001.
  • HNC or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject
  • Experience of pump selection and operation, including system interaction
  • Experience of contract – both technical documentation and negotiation of Ts & Cs
  • Extensive knowledge of the Water industry, key clients and contacts
  • Knowledge and use of CRM systems
  • Knowledge and use of SAP (desirable)
Responsibilities
  • Generate business opportunities within a designated area.
  • Prepare detailed technical and commercial quotations.
  • Provide technical support to customers throughout the pre-order stage, including pump selection and operation.
  • Attend technical and commercial clarification meetings and carry out contract negotiations
  • Actively contribute to the development and support of the Water Business Unit Plan and provide timely and accurate supporting information as required.
  • Maintain customer contact through to project completion.
  • Liaise with other departments to enhance customer service.
  • Preparation of Framework submissions, attendance at framework meetings and operate as Framework Manager for specific key customers
  • Hot desk working in key customer offices to enhance the presence and visibility of the company, to increase business opportunities and to offer improved customer support.
  • Prepare and carry out technical presentations
  • Collection of all relevant market intelligence
  • Produce information on potential case studies/technical articles etc
  • CRM - effective use of the system to drive sales results and business intelligence reporting
