JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Regional Sales Manager manages the activities of the sales resources in the assigned region to maximize sales of Bourns® products. Responsible for achieving sales goals and
market share growth objectives for the region.
BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited four-year college or university with a Business, Engineering, or closely related degree. Post Graduate related courses or degree preferred.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years’ Sales Management experience. Strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must be a capable motivator and possess the ability to effectively communicate and sell ideas to Bourns Management, Customer Management and Sales Professionals. Flexibility and high energy level required. Must have enthusiastic, team selling approach to the job.
ORAL/WRITTEN: The Regional Sales Manager should have Excellent verbal communication skills which are required to present ideas, concepts and solutions to Manufacturer’s Reps, customers, and distributors via letters, memos, graphs, email, charts, etc. The Regional Sales Manager must have excellent written skills which are required for corresponding via letters, memos, graphs, email, charts, etc.
SCHEDULING AND PLANNING: Strong organizational skills required. Must plan and schedule own timetable for travel, visits, and personal schedules.
