We don’t want you to live to work, we want you to work and live.   What you can expect as the Central Regional Sales Manager at West Star: We are currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager for the Central Region to develop and maintain business relationships with customers and industry vendors to generate sales leads and create customized service offerings to meet customer needs. RSM is responsible for selling aircraft maintenance, avionics, and modifications services. A high level of communication, organization, flexibility, professionalism, and customer service is crucial for this position. This position will travel the territory regularly and maintain a home office during non-travel periods and has a non-standard work schedule due to the travel required along with customer interactions and attending industry events. The expectation is to perform as necessary to ensure West Star Aviation is represented appropriately and professionally within the territory while achieving the annual sales objective. This position is responsible for the following states: AR, IA, MO, KS, OK, NE, ND & SD.     You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:   * Collaborate with Business Development and Technical Sales Managers to achieve annual sales objectives. * Travel regularly throughout the territory and visit with customers regarding short and long-term sales opportunities. * Utilize Salesforce.com, AMSTAT, Corridor and other aviation databases to manage, identify and update the status of all sales opportunities. * Analyze the industry market, competition, service / product offerings and trends to develop strategies ensuring WSA alignment with the market findings. * Identify, evaluate and recommend sales strategies such as multi-aircraft work packages. * Provide consultative advice to customers regarding upcoming maintenance events and multi-disciplined opportunities to negotiate a win-win. * Prepare sales presentations, contract reviews and proposals to ensure a successful outcome of sales opportunities. * Communicate with Technical Sales Managers, Program Managers and Contract Administrators to answer questions and provide additional input on RFQ’s. * Attend industry trade shows and vendor events as necessary to maintain existing and develop new relationships. Qualifications What you’ll need to bring with you:   * A customer-focused, team player known for delivering exceptional customer service and support to achieve company goals. * 10+ years of sales experience with technical knowledge and a customer following within the business aviation MRO space.   * A skillful communicator capable of using multi-modes to convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences, diverse styles and positions * A professional who acts with diplomacy and tact to interact respectfully with diverse groups of people     Required Qualifications: * A&P License and / or a degree in Aviation Technology or an equivalent field of study. * Strong technical knowledge and customer following as demonstrated by a minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in a technical management or sales role. * Must demonstrate strong communication, planning and customer service skills. * Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce and other necessary software. * Must be able to travel regularly in territory.  (50% travel target 50% home office) * Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.     Your Sense of Responsibility: Maintain customer oriented work habits. Direct the work and flow of multiple projects. Attend work every day as scheduled.  Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work. Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.  Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines. Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.   Other particulars:   Physical Requirements    Lift at least 10 lbs. Routine walking, bending and squatting or sitting. Intermediate to advanced personal computer operations.   Mental Requirements                           Work with others in a professional manner. Coordinate projects.   Equipment Used               Personal computer, telephone, fax machine and other office equipment.
