Description CERTEX USA is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to join our team in our Central Region to lead our team, oversee daily operations, and drive business growth. Position Overview The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and customer retention across multiple locations within a defined geographic region for a lifting and rigging organization. This role provides strategic and hands-on leadership to ensure consistent, professional sales execution while aligning closely with Operations to deliver safe, reliable, and timely lifting and rigging solutions. The Regional Sales Manager leads regional sales teams, key account strategies, and customer engagement efforts while reinforcing a culture of accountability, service excellence, and ethical selling. Regular travel within the assigned region is required to support facility operations, provide leadership presence, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards. Essential Functions: Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within: Industrial construction Energy Manufacturing Infrastructure Marine, power, and heavy industrial markets (as applicable) Expand market share through strategic targeting of key accounts and emerging customers. Support pricing strategies that balance competitiveness, margin, and operational capacity. Collaborate with executive leadership on annual sales plans, forecasts, and growth initiatives. Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with key regional customers. Serve as senior point of contact for major accounts, contract negotiations, and escalations. Ensure sales teams consistently deliver: Accurate scope definition Clear communication of customer requirements Realistic delivery timelines aligned with operations Promote a customer-first mindset focused on long-term partnerships rather than transactional selling. Monitor customer satisfaction, retention, and feedback; implement corrective actions as needed. Lead, coach, and develop Regional Sales Managers, Account Managers, and Sales Representatives. Establish clear performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability measures. Conduct regular ride-alongs, pipeline reviews, and performance check-ins. Identify training needs related to: Lifting and rigging solutions Safety expectations Technical selling Contract terms and risk management Recruit, onboard, and retain top sales talent across the region. Ensure disciplined use of CRM tools to manage pipeline, opportunities, and customer data. Drive accurate forecasting and reporting at the regional level. Review and validate: Opportunity qualification Bid strategy and pricing Probability-to-close assumptions Monitor sales cycle times and win/loss trends; adjust strategies accordingly. Enforce standardized sales processes and best practices across all branches. Work closely with the Regional Director of Operations and branch leadership to ensure sales commitments align with operational capabilities. Ensure all sales activity supports the company’s safety-first culture, including: Proper job scoping Identification of risk and complexity Adherence to lifting and rigging standards Participate in pre-job planning for complex or high-risk projects. Align sales efforts with facility capacity, equipment availability, and labor resources. Oversee regional contract reviews, including MSAs, rate agreements, and project-specific contracts. Ensure terms and conditions align with company risk tolerance and operational standards. Support pricing discipline to protect margins while remaining competitive. Partner with Legal, Finance, and Operations to mitigate commercial and operational risk. Ensure sales teams follow approved approval and escalation processes. 8–12+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in: Lifting and rigging Crane services Industrial services Heavy equipment rental or construction support Proven success leading multi-site or regional sales teams Strong understanding of industrial customers, project-based selling, and service-driven environments Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with operations and safety teams Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field Experience selling technical or engineered solutions Familiarity with contract-based and project-driven sales models Strategic sales leadership Relationship-building at all organizational levels Commercial and financial acumen Clear, disciplined communication Negotiation and influencing skills Data-driven decision-making Strong collaboration with operations and safety teams Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times.
