Responsibilities

AS A REGIONAL SALES MANAGER, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • To achieve market share growth within target market, increasing sales within region
  • To identify new product opportunities and lead activities within the region
  • To develop and track target market growth plans with target sales
  • Understand the need to identify different Sales Strategies for different Product Groups.
  • Create annual sales forecast, split by National, Buying Groups, Independents and Product group.
  • Gain commercial understanding and engage in the delivery and ongoing management of regional and private rebate schemes to drive sales growth.
  • Grow OTC sales by actively pushing and gaining promotional orders.
  • Understand the needs to continually increase business knowledge and learn new skills through a combination of training and personal development.
  • Ensure you effectively communicate with the support teams at the Head Office.
  • Weekly reports showing development of the EWS market.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

  • 1-3 years of proven sales experience within Electrical Trade, Distribution, Wholesale industry.
  • Based within the region with accessible travel routes to meet clients (Carlisle, Newcastle, Darlington, Harrogate, Leeds, York and Hull).
  • Grasps technical issues and can deliver solutions to suit the customers’ needs.
  • Structures area of responsibility to deliver key objectives and defines a balanced set of targets and measure aligned with delivery of the plan.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively and stay organised in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM tools (Phocas).
  • Driving license.
