Hengli’s brand is recognized globally as a superior supplier to internationally recognized Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in earthmoving and construction, mining, lift, aerial work platform, marine and offshore, and the oil and gas markets. We produce customized hydraulic cylinders, industrial hydraulic valves, mobile valves, piston pumps and motors, and various pneumatic products.
Hengli America is in the greater Chicago area and is rapidly growing in the areas of product research and development, application development, manufacturing, and customer service.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Regional Sales Manager is focused on both the strategic and tactical development of the assigned territory (MN, IA, KS, MO) of Hengli America. This role is responsible for maintaining current business with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) as well as growing new business. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for providing customers with custom hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic components, and hydraulic systems. They will work closely with customer’s purchasing and engineering team to develop solutions as well as with internal team members in China for quoting and project management coordinated through the Bolingbrook office. They utilize technical resources within Hengli to further develop technical relationships within Customers. A successful person in this role will have a strong sense of entrepreneurship.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, however, an associate degree with a strong background is acceptable
  • 12 years sales experience in a business to business role required
  • Experience in hydraulics/Fluid power industry is preferred
  • Ability to multitask among job responsibilities
  • Ability to interact with diverse cultures with sensitivity, flexibility and adaptability
  • Significant travel time may be required (average 70%) including internationally
  • Goal focused with a competitive and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong ability to create relationships
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, with a proven track record of growing sales and teams
  • Clear communication through written and oral mediums
  • Ability to achieve and exceed sales goals
  • Fluid Power Certification is a plus
  • Ability to learn and utilize software to meet goals and support operations
Responsibilities
  • 7080% travel required: most domestic, occasionally international
  • Develops new prospects and accounts, using product knowledge to sell products to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) accounts, as well as analyze needs, advise on hydraulic component purchases, answer technical questions, and recommend solutions to grow potential sales opportunities through educationbased selling
  • Establishes, develops and manages new leads by various prospecting methods including phone, internet, social media, field sales, as well as exhibits and attendance at trade shows
  • Maintains and grows current customer relationships
  • Maintains CRM system of customer files, hydraulic industry notes, and customers market trends
  • Coordinates (logistics or aftermarket repairs) to exceed customer requirements
  • Prepare emails, letters, quotes, and orders and sends information to customers and colleagues in China headquarters
  • Contact related companies and ask questions to develop potential sales opportunities from first call to closed sale
  • Meets with customer to negotiate contract price and terms and conditions of sale
  • Develops and maintains sales plans within accounts
  • Observes trends within accounts
  • Reports on trends within the market, competitors, and developing trends to management and sales teams
  • Keeps and maintains project price tracking sheets and communicates with accounting to make sure all invoices for payments are correct and up to date
  • Attends various trade shows, webinars, conference calls, and conferences as needed to keep up to date on projects, products, and industry trends and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Support other matters are necessary to assist in successful operations of Hengli America
