JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for developing and growing noise control, vibration isolation, and restraint systems sales within the assigned geographical region of North America. The Regional Sales Manager role requires frequent interaction with consulting engineers, OEMs, contractors, and independent sales representatives and their customers with approximately 50% of travel expected – including occasional international travel. The incumbent will have demonstrated sales and business development experience within the Applied HVAC sector, be self-motivated, driven to succeed, to deliver ‘best in class’ solutions and service to clients.
The successful candidate will work to build relationships, value sell Vibro-Acoustics’ products and services, execute the sales strategy and manage the sales channels. The RSM position will be tasked with driving a sale focused and customer focused atmosphere within the group.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Sales driven with strong initiative and self-motivation
  • Proven track record of creating basis of design solutions with consulting engineers for drawings and specifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, other Engineering degrees considered.
  • Able to travel 50% of the time within Canada and occasionally to USA, including overnight
  • Able to prioritize multiple competing deadlines
  • Self-motivated, energetic and professional
  • Exceptional relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer focused approach
  • Demonstrated presentation skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Significant knowledge of HVAC Sales Channels – Manufacturer Reps, OEM, Wholesale
  • 3+ years of Value Selling experience as a Regional Sales Manager or similar is preferred
  • 5+ years of HVAC industry experience
  • Knowledge of Vibration Isolation, Seismic Restraints, and Noise Control Solutions valuable but not mandatory

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain excellent relationships and rapport by working closely with the sales representative network to provide information, training, and other details on engineered products for noise and vibration control solutions
  • Develop strategic plan for routine visits to representatives and customers, including pre-visit planning and post-visit reporting, to develop close business relationships and achieve sales and training goals
  • Research and monitor prospective and competing representatives within the assigned region. Assign and/or Reassign territories to qualified representatives to achieve sales goals and implement company strategy
  • Meet or exceed sales and margin goals within the assigned territory
  • Present technical information to groups of building owners, architects, engineers and/or contractors
  • Provide pre-order support, including reading and interpreting architectural and mechanical drawings, technical specification to render product selection decisions, using selection software and other tools to assist inside sales team to formulate product scopes and quotations
