An international machine tool manufacturing corporation in the Elk Grove Village, IL area is searching for an experienced Regional Business Development Manager. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a solid track record in the manufacturing sector, particularly with machine tool builders or major importers/distributors.
REQUIREMENTS
· 10 years of sales experience within the manufacturing sector, preferably with a machine tool builder
· Prior experience or technical foundation in engineering, applications support, or service is strongly advantageous
· A university degree in Business Administration or a closely related discipline is preferred
· Track record of successfully handling complex sales processes and fostering strong customer relationships
· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to present effectively at all levels
· Willingness and ability to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally, as business requires
· Background in the manufacturing industry, especially within the automotive field, is beneficial
· Proficient in both verbal and written English, with strong documentation and reporting skills

This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

· Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers
