SUMMARY:

To support our growth strategies, we are looking for an insurance professional experienced in Property/Casualty sales and marketing who is motivated, creative and has strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, organizational and analytical skills. At least 3 – 5 years of selling commercial property and casualty lines is expected for the candidate to be successful. The successful individual will have the ability to execute company strategy and territory sales and marketing plan to achieve desired results. Compensation is commensurate with experience but will include a base salary plus a variable compensation component.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience within Property and Casualty insurance sales.
  • Active Property and Casualty license (preferred).

Responsibilities
  • Profitable growth of an assigned territory by providing a full range of sales and marketing functions for the company.
  • Recommend service and product enhancement to improve the sales potential and customer satisfaction.
  • Travel requirements include meeting with brokers onsite, as well as attending industry trade shows within territory, to discuss their evolving needs and assess the quality of the company’s relationship.
  • Plan for the achievement of individual and divisional targets in alignment with company strategies and policies.
  • Provide sales support for all McGowan divisions and internal stakeholders.
  • Establish sales objectives by projecting expected sales volume and forecasting and developing sales quotas for assigned region.
  • Keep current with economic indicators, changing trends, supply and demand, and competitors.
  • Provide the necessary support associated with generating market leads and new business placement.
  • Document customer interactions and maintain data related to activities, accounts, and broker partners using software platforms such as Applied EPIC and Salesforce.
  • Travel required.
  • Other duties, projects, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned.
