Job Description

In the role of Regional Sales Manager NL you are responsible for the sales of our product portfolio in the Dutch market. Your team consists of highly skilled Research, Clinical & BioPharma sales professionals based in The Netherlands and you will report to the Country Manager BeNeLux. You will be responsible for leading, motivating, developing and retaining your team, working closely with the individual team members in the field to realize growth and development opportunities in their assigned accounts. Furthermore, you will be responsible for driving and exceeding agreed financial targets combined with business analysis and forecasting. The role requires you to develop and maintain strong relationships with our key accounts and customers, ensuring outstanding support and service at all times.

  • Through inspirational leadership based on Leading by Example, develop a hardworking motivated team using strong team-building skills. Successfully attract, motivate, develop and retain highly qualified sales professionals that contribute to the success of Miltenyi’s rapidly growing business. Consistently supervise the results of the team in the region to provide accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management and sales tracking
  • Use extensive knowledge of the life sciences & clinical market and customers to develop and deliver a high impact sales strategy. Proficient in business planning and execution to meet and exceed team goals.
  • Have a good understanding of the tendering process with the ability to set, negotiate and oversee contracts/proposals and quotations
  • Committed to open communication, transparency and performance management. Proficient in setting performance goals and standards and performance appraisals. Demonstrate strong analytical skills with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Continually maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Miltenyi’s technologies, products, markets, competitors and customers’ buying practices
  • Drive a high level of interaction and engagement between individuals, teams & departments to ensure coordination of activities and alignment of common goals. Ensure proper usage and maintenance of the CRM system
  • Report to the Country Manager Benelux and inform him on a regular basis about Employee’s activities in light of the proper fulfilment of his duties. Spend approximately 80% of working time visiting (potential) customers together with team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated track record of success within life sciences & clinical sales with a minimum of 5-8 years sales experience and ideally 3 years of sales management experience or equivalent.
  • BSc in a biological discipline mandatory. Ideally MSc/PhD in immunology, cell analysis or cancer biology. A deep understanding of the life sciences & clinical market is essential.
  • Proficient in critical thinking, business planning, account management and execution to meet and exceed the team’s goals. Strong commercial sales management experience – demonstrates the ability to motivate and lead a sales team to strategically plan account activities and accurately forecast sales.
  • Works well within a team and proactively engages internal stakeholders to help work towards the company goals. Ability to communicate and influence change at/with senior level customer leadership. Ability to build positive working relationships at all levels with excellent listening, selling and negotiation skills.
  • High energy and strong interpersonal skills. Creative and independent thinker that is able to remain open minded.
  • Excellent presentation skills and experience presenting in front of large groups as well as Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
    Additional Information
    Fluency in English and Dutch is mandatory for this role.
