POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Sales Manager I is responsible for sales growth of METUS residential HVAC product through development of existing and new distributors and dealer partners while effectively managing a team of Area Sales Managers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.A/B.S. in business preferred, or degree in related field.
  • 5 years calling on residential HVAC and mechanical HVAC contractors.
  • 5 years of sales management experience managing a team of direct and/or indirect reports.
  • Experience developing and implementing business growth plans.
  • Demonstrated public speaking skills to both small and large groups.
  • Proficient with PowerPoint/Excel/ Word and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiar with Salesforce or other CRM programs.
  • Must reside in the Business Unit Territory/Geography.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Team player demonstrating METUS core values including a desire to win together, deliver excellence, drive sustainability, focus on execution and learn continuously.
    The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $111,200 and 152,900/year however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions of 30% of total compensation calculated as achievement against annual revenue targets, incentive compensation and discretionary awards. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation per year, 56 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, depending on hire date. Employees may also take up to 12 weeks of paid or unpaid [parental/disability/emergency/etc.] leave, if eligible.

Responsibilities

THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Effectively lead a group of Area Sales Managers within the assigned region to achieve established sales growth, dealer growth and business unit objectives. Hire, develop and train a motivated residential sales team.
  • Develop and implement a regional sales growth/business plans based on METUS corporate initiatives, market analysis and business unit objectives.
  • Assist Residential Sales Manager and Business Unit Director to establish sales goals for each distributor in the region.
  • Achieve or exceed established sales goals for the region as defined by the Business Unit Director.
  • Travel with Area Sales Managers on a quarterly basis to assess performance and market conditions. Provide coaching to Area Sales Managers to enhance job performance and goal achievement.
  • Coordinate scheduling of dealer development training and distributor training events and participate in presentations as needed.
  • Effectively function as the lead point of contact with senior leaders of assigned distributors.
  • Actively plan and lead distributor quarterly planning, sales, and inventory meetings.
  • Willing to travel up to 50 % within the assigned territory for distributor, dealer, trade organization meetings and outside of the assigned territory for various company meetings.
