Description

Purpose: To lead, support, and grow Central Valley Ag’s sales performance across a defined region by driving alignment with CVA’s mission to “Deliver value to our members by embracing innovation, relationships, and agronomic excellence.” This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, coaching and mentoring a high-performing sales team, and ensuring exceptional service to member-owners. The Regional Sales Manager will foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth while promoting CVA’s full portfolio of agronomic, energy, feed, and grain solutions to meet the evolving needs of producers in their territory.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Agronomy or Agriculture or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an agronomy sales role required.
  • Proven history of delivery of results required.

Responsibilities

OTHER DUTIES 15%:

  • Assist in functions associated with product orders, invoicing, inventory, standard operating procedures and forecasting.
  • Assist in function of financing and credit.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervise 6 to 12 employees.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in conjunction with division heads. Focus on highly engaged workforce with great communication skills.
This role requires 50-60% field time, including farm visits and travel within the region, with the remainder spent in office settings or virtual meetings.
