Purpose: The Regional Sales Manager will achieve commercial growth goals for CV International (CVI) by establishing new, profitable business relationships while maintaining and growing existing customers. The RSM will professionally represent the company, driving new business growth and supporting existing clients, the brand, and the company’s broader interests.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Sales experience in international freight forwarding, NVOCC, air freight, customs brokerage, and 3PL services.
o Well-rounded knowledge of global logistics and experience selling customs brokerage services.
o Pre-existing relationships with import/export shippers.
o Ability to hunt/develop a robust sales pipeline comprised of opportunities at various stages (lead/prospect/customer), industry verticals, deal sizes, and service types.
o Solutions aptitude to move prospects and customers up the value chain to increase margins and switching costs.
o The ideal candidate is a source of industry expertise, keeps abreast of trends/best practices, and can credibly make global logistics and supply chain recommendations as a trusted advisor.
o Excellent oral and written communication skills with the drive to network and develop new relationships.
o Good organizational skills and detail-oriented; ability to serve internal and external stakeholders timely and professionally.
o Self-motivated and works well within a team structure to achieve collective goals and positive results.
o Responsible management of expenditures and mindful of sales return on investment.
o Bachelor’s degree preferred.
o Meet annual sales growth goals by adding new/profitable business.
o Professionally represent CVI in the markets of Atlanta and western GA, TN, AL, MS, and northwest FL. Potential to expand the sales territory based on the RSM’s relationships and company needs.
o Develop leads/new relationships and solicit qualified sales opportunities amongst prospective accounts.
o Maintain and grow existing customers, including regular sales visits, entertainment, and conducting QBRs.
o Work with pricing department to coordinate, prepare, send, and follow up on rate quotations to prospects & clients.
o Develop detailed logistics, forwarding, and customs brokerage solution recommendations and proposals.
o Implement new customers to ensure service excellence, including completed/signed onboarding documentation and standard operating procedures (SOP).
o Attend trade shows and networking functions.
o Sales reporting to management: sales call notes, CRM updates, and opportunity pipeline.
o Participate in regular sales meetings with CVI’s commercial team.
o Submit monthly expense reports.
