Job Summary: The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing and working in the field (regional US Midwest territory) with Manufacturer Sales Reps across various trade groups (Electrical, Industrial and Plumbing). This role involves making joint sales calls on distributors and contractors/end-users, providing training, managing playbooks, recording activities, driving sales success, and ensuring effective communication and partnerships. Key Responsibilities: · Agency Management: o Oversee Manufacturer Representative Agencies from all trade groups within the assigned territory. o Ensure reps are trained and proficient in S.M.A.R.T. Selling and focused on contractor pull-through. · Sales and Customer Engagement: o Conduct joint sales calls to Distributors (Customers), OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), and Contractors (Customer’s customers) within specific trade groups (Industrial, Electrical, and Plumbing). o Training to customers and contractors on G-STRUT Products with Reps. · Playbook Management: o Manage playbooks by setting pricing matrices for the reps and territory. o Adjust pricing as needed by communicating with the Vice President of Sales – Strut Division and the Customer Service Representative (Internal). · Reporting and Analysis: o Record monthly activities, trends, pricing pressures, customer service issues, etc., in the customer relationship management reporting system. · Travel Requirements: o Travel a minimum of three days per week within the territory with rep agencies and/or house accounts. · Account Management: o Manage house accounts and pricing not assigned to a rep agency. o Manage communication for long-term partnerships. o Oversee National Chain and buying group accounts within the assigned territory. · Presentation and Training: o Create quarterly and yearly presentations for discussions over the territory. o Attend and participate in all trade shows, including working the booth on assigned days and attending workshops. o Assist in arranging and setting up booths for smaller shows. Qualifications: · Proven experience in sales management, preferably within the relevant trade groups. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory. · Proficiency in customer relationship management systems. · Excellent organizational and analytical skills. · Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. · Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, customer service & sales management. Reporting Line: · Reports to the Vice President of Sales - Strut Division.
