JOB DESCRIPTION

Winters Instruments is currently looking for a highly motivated, driven and focused Regional Sales Manager to cover the region of British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. This role is based in Edmonton.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-10 years of technical sales / management in a related industry and product experience.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a proven sales track record in Western Canada’s instrumentation industry, electronics or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and account management, with a strong network preferred.
  • Excellent ability to connect with others and drive sales in a team environment.
  • B.Sc. or Engineering degree preferred, will consider candidates with Technical Diploma
  • Good business acumen and experience working with customers across multiple disciplines is an asset.
  • Skilled in written and oral communications.
  • Preferred, work experience within the instrumentation industry
  • Ability to travel in Western Canada 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
  • Daily operation aligned with Winters’ Core Values, reflected in customer communications.
  • Grow sales and maintain gross margin profitability in line with annual budgets.
  • Set and monitor sales budgets for regional distributors.
  • Identify and secure new customer opportunities (OEMs, EPCs, Fabricators, End Users), driving business through channel partners wherever possible.
  • Develop solid relationships with new/existing accounts, providing support as needed.
  • Develop an annual sales plan with VP Canadian Division to achieve objectives.
  • Build internal and external relationships to drive sales and maintain profitability.
  • Conduct joint sales calls with key distributors to support their initiatives.
  • Provide product knowledge/training when needed to support sales activities.
  • Present quarterly sales reviews on progress towards objectives.
  • Attend industry and distributor trade shows, events, and open houses as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
