THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

  • BS or BA degree in business, electrical, mechanical, color science or other technical fields with two to five years sales experience.
  • Direct selling experience in a business-to-business environment
  • Experience with salesforce.com and other tools to update opportunities, customer records and profiles as well as sales activities.
  • Based in the Mid West/ Great Lakes region.

Responsibilities
  • Growth in territory using the land expand and upgrade approach ie develop strategies for acquiring new accounts, expansion in existing accounts and defending the current install base.
  • Territory Planning: Segment customers and develop specific strategies for each customer segment for sustainable growth
  • Prospecting: Identify and call on prospective customers, provide technical expertise, product information and demonstrations to nurture potential customers.
  • Value Selling: Identify and interpret customer needs and answer questions to assist in the selection, application, and operation to provide the best solution of color measurement
  • Forecasting and Funnel Management: Regularly update CRM to maintain an accurate funnel and monthly forecast. Follow funnel management standard work and update customer records and profiles as per the ongoing commercial initiatives.
  • Trends: Support Marketing and Product Management by providing solid market intelligence, forecasting future customer buying activity and industry trends.
  • Attend and support X-Rite national and regional industry trade shows
  • The expected travel requirement is approximately 60% of the time (within territory).
