Description Reports to: Sales Supervisor Supervises: None Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly Location: Remote/Chicago or surrounding area Work Schedule: On the road days: 6:30 AM – 4 PM (Leaving earlier and longer on travel days is recommended). In-Office Days: 7 AM – 4 PM (1 Day per week in office for planning, emails and calls). Purpose of Position: The Sales Representative is responsible for establishing and maintaining profitable relationships on behalf of Westfield by taking personal responsibility for each customer’s contact and by ensuring that customers are being serviced and cared for. The Sales Representative has primary responsibility for ensuring all products are introduced to existing and potential customers as well as being the first to sell new products as needed. Essential Duties: Prospecting & New Business Introduce Westfield products to a new region and generate leads via cold calls, in-store prospecting, referrals, and networking. Plan efficient travel routes. Present and pitch products to secure new account placements. Attend industry events or trade shows as assigned. Relationship Building & Account Management Conduct joint sales calls with distributor sales reps Conduct 4 days of in-store visits weekly (8–15 stores/day). 14% - 23% Overnight Travel: 3-5 days of overnight travel monthly to reach surrounding states Build and maintain relationships with store/dairy managers, owners, and decision makers. Direct reorders to distributors, provide product training, ensure proper merchandising, and complete a minimum of 2 demo days per month. Grow sales in existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling. Sales Execution & Follow-Through Accurately document all activities (store visits, calls, etc.) and customer interactions in HubSpot CRM. It doesn’t exist unless in HubSpot. Monitor competitor activity and market trends. Collaborate with marketing and sales on campaigns, promotions, and product launches. Professionalism & Representation Represent Westfield professionally, maintaining brand standards in attire, vehicle, and conduct. Demonstrate commitment to the company’s mission, vision, and values. Maintain organized schedules, timely reporting, and clear communication with the Sales Supervisor. All other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or GED; 1–3 years of sales or related experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office and accurate with data entry. Valid driver’s license with ability to travel within assigned territory. Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends. Commitment to Westfield Egg Farm’s mission, vision, and values. Willingness to complete on-site training and ongoing development. Proficient in reading, writing, and interpreting technical materials and reports. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Personal Attributes: The Sales Representative will be privileged with information that should not be shared. The incumbent must maintain strict confidentiality in performing their duties, not spreading information to others. This is incredibly important when working with other competition etc. The incumbent must demonstrate the following personal attributes: Be honest and trustworthy Be respectful Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity across a variety of cultures Be flexible Demonstrate sound work ethics Physical Requirements / Environmental Conditions: The Sales Representative will have to spend long hours sitting while driving, using office equipment, which can cause muscle strain. The incumbent may also have to do some light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time (up to 50lbs for egg boxes). As an on-the-road role, Westfield asks that employee doesn’t have distractions while driving. The incumbent may find the workload to be a lot and will need excellent organizational and time/stress management skills to complete the required tasks.
