OVERVIEW: The Regional Service and Parts Manager is responsible for the operational success and profitability of the Service and Parts Department’s within their assigned Region. The Regional Service and Parts Manager will accomplish this through outside vendor relationships, process improvements, training, recruiting and the implementation of internal control measures to ensure processes are robust. KEY TASKS: * Ensure the growth and profitability of the Service and Parts & Accessories business for the Region. Increase both the efficiency and capacity of the service and parts departments to facilitate both increased external pay and to increase the percentage of service and parts revenue as it relates to total store revenue. * Train service and parts staff on the importance of increasing FANS. * Ensure consistency in processes, policies, and execution across all stores * Utilize report data to address service issues and potential training needs. * Analyze and standardize operating and administrative procedures and increase efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity * Analyze monthly service and parts department’s financial statements and identify areas for improvement. * Actively manage and reduce work in progress (WIP) * Manage Accounts Receivables by implementing a standardized payment procurement process. * Improve parts inventory maintenance by implementing consistent processes as well as monitor parts turns, margins, and inventory counts. * Provide assistance and coverage to stores during peak season or when understaffed. * Provide on-going training and development to the service staff and assist with training of new team members. * Interact with vendors on mechanical issues that require further examination. * Ensure all vendors maintain up-to-date insurance and compliance with company standards. * Monitor scheduling of technicians and sublets to ensure that customer complaints are addressed promptly and accurately the first time. May interact with customers depending on the nature of the problem to help resolve issues. * Partner with Executive in Charge, VP of Operations, and HR Business Partner for recruiting and hiring service and parts personnel. * Partner with Executive in Charge, VP of Operations, and HR Business Partner to determine pay plans for technicians, service writers, and service managers that drive optimal performance. * Travel to all dealership locations within Region to oversee Service and Parts & Accessories operations. * Embrace the company’s mission statement and values and coach Team Members on their importance.  Continually mentor Team Members in regards to the mission and values and set a positive example. * Build partnerships with vocational/technical schools to support and grow the technician apprentice program. * Other duties as assigned.
