Ideally based in West/North Yorkshire – Covering Castleford, Cumbernauld, Newcastle
Full-Time | Field-Based with Regional Travel
Polygon UK is on the lookout for a Regional SHEQ Manager to join our dynamic team and play a critical role in making our operations safer, more sustainable, and fully compliant. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, are passionate about safety and continuous improvement, and want to make a real impact across a regional network – we want to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Be the go-to expert for SHEQ matters across our Northern & Scottish operations.
  • Act as a “critical friend” – offering support, guidance, and challenge to our operational teams and senior leaders.
  • Lead from the front – visible, present, and actively involved in promoting safe work practices.
  • Drive SHEQ performance improvement through audits, coaching, and compliance reviews.
  • Support incident management and ensure lessons are learned and shared.
  • Influence positive safety behaviours and help embed our values of Excellence, Integrity, and Empathy.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. CDM, CoSHH, Fire Safety).
  • Contribute to ISO and external certification goals.
  • Support site inspections, risk assessments, and SHEQ communication forums.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years in a similar SHEQ management role.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential).
  • Membership of IOSH, ISSRM, or similar professional body.
  • Experience with ISO-certified management systems and conducting audits.
  • Solid industry knowledge (insurance, construction, domestic & commercial environments).

Desirable but not essential:

  • NEBOSH Fire Certificate or equivalent.
  • Internal Auditor qualification.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or Environmental Qualification (e.g. IEMA).
  • Mental Health First Aider accreditation.
  • Experience in training delivery or instructional techniques.

You’ll thrive in this role if you are:

  • A confident communicator with a practical approach to safety.
  • A self-starter who can prioritise effectively.
  • Positive, adaptable, and team-oriented.
  • Resilient under pressure and solutions-focused.
