Job Description Summary The Regional Customs Compliance and Special Programs Leader will be responsible for leading and managing both the strategic framework for Customs Special Programs and the comprehensive Customs Compliance program within the region. This position will involve overseeing projects, developing solutions, creating SOPs, ensuring regulatory adherence, and supporting Customs compliance activities. This integrated role is designed to ensure robust compliance with customs regulations while maximizing savings and efficiency through strategic program management. Job Description What you’ll do; Develop and oversee the strategic framework and execution plans for the Customs duty savings program Ensure effective management and adherence to regulatory requirements for region Customs Special Programs New Customs Special Programs identification and implementation Monitor Savings associated with Customs Special Programs and ensure accurate reporting Maintain an inventory of Customs Special Programs usage by business Lead specific Customs program initiatives and collaborate with business personnel to implement compliant programs Identify Customs risks areas and develop actionable plans and procedures to mitigate those risks Own Business Compliance oversight, defining Customs Policy, Risk, and Monitoring Plans Evaluate internal controls and drive implementation of recommended improvement plans Support various metrics and monitoring programs related to assigned responsibilities Maintain a regional list of external and internal audits Define and communicate business process exceptions, priorities, requirements, and risk parameters Execute Local Agent Due Diligence and collaborate on Customs Authority and internal audits, results, and corrective actions Support the rollout and implementation of customs-related training programs, What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications); Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with minimum 8 years’ experience in customs processes or In country Professional Customs Certification or Accreditation with minimum 5 years’ experience in customs processes Availability for travel to regional business locations with occasional global travel.
