Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As a Support Manager, your primary responsibility is to provide effective management and leadership support to care homes within the East region. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care services, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and driving operational excellence across the homes under your supervision.
This role requires strong leadership skills, knowledge of care home operations, and the ability to work autonomously. Your guidance, mentoring, and support will be instrumental in driving the success of the homes and ensuring alignment with best practice standards in the sector.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide effective leadership and management, ensuring the right people are recruited, trained, and supported in their roles.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop care home managers and staff, fostering a positive and inclusive working culture.
  • Monitor and manage financial and business performance, including budgeting, reporting, and development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, implementing action plans where required.
  • Maintain and enhance the quality of care and living environment provided to residents.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies.
  • Implement performance monitoring systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcomes.
