WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (Level 5 or above preferred)
  • At least three years’ experience in a leadership role within an early years setting
  • Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted standards
  • Proven success in managing and supporting early years teams across multiple sites
  • Experience handling regulatory inspections and action planning for improvements
  • Effective communication, coaching, and team leadership skills
  • Ability to build trusted relationships at all levels, from practitioners to senior management
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • A flexible, solutions-focused approach to leadership and problem-solving

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Regional Support Manager to provide operational leadership across a group of early years settings. This is a key role supporting the Regional Manager in the day-to-day delivery of high-quality childcare and education, while ensuring full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
In the absence of the Regional Manager, you will take full responsibility for leading the region, supporting Nursery Managers to deliver exceptional outcomes for children, families, and staff teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership across multiple nursery settings, ensuring consistency in practice and operational standards
  • Act as Regional Manager when required, assuming full responsibility for the region
  • Support Nursery Managers in delivering high-quality early years education, safeguarding, and compliance
  • Monitor performance against agreed KPIs and action plans, driving continuous improvement
  • Deliver coaching and mentoring to help develop and retain high-performing teams
  • Conduct site visits, audits, and inspections to assess quality, compliance, and effectiveness
  • Report any serious incidents to senior leadership in the absence of the Regional Manager
  • Assist in recruitment, training, and onboarding of nursery leadership roles within the region
  • Collaborate with the Regional Manager to support business objectives and growth initiatives
