Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Tax Lead to oversee and establish all tax-related functions for EPOS,a subsidiary of Ant Group International. This role will be crucial in supporting EPOS's rapid growth and expansion across Southeast Asia, ensuring tax compliance, implementing tax strategies, and managing transfer pricing across markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines and Thailand. As the Tax Lead, you will play a pivotal role in setting up tax functions, providing business support, ensuring tax compliance, and managing transfer pricing for the company's operations. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the tax strategy for a fast-growing fintech company in the region. Key Responsibilities: 1. Tax Function Setup & Management: Lead the establishment and management of EPOS’s tax functions, ensuring a framework that supports the company's rapid growth across multiple jurisdictions. Oversee and ensure tax compliance across markets in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and other APAC regions. Develop and implement tax strategies, policies, and controls to minimize tax risks and optimize tax obligations. 2. Business Support & Strategic Advisory: Provide tax-related business support and strategic advice to key stakeholders, including senior management, finance, legal, and operations teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the tax implications of new business initiatives, expansions, or acquisitions. 3. Transfer Pricing: Design, implement, and manage transfer pricing policies, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and international tax standards. Manage intercompany transactions, pricing models, and documentation to ensure tax optimization. 4. Compliance Management: Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, reports, and documents across all relevant jurisdictions. Stay up-to-date with local tax law changes and global tax developments, adjusting the company’s tax strategies accordingly. 5. Global Tax Strategy Alignment: Ensure regional tax operations align with Ant Group International‘s global tax strategy. Provide strategic guidance on corporate restructurings, financing arrangements, and other international tax matters. Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax management, ideally within multinational corporations, particularly in the tech or fintech sectors. Extensive experience in managing tax compliance, transfer pricing, and international tax strategy across APAC markets In-depth understanding of international tax principles, transfer pricing, VAT/GST, corporate taxation, and other relevant tax areas.
