About the Role In this regional role, you will support the implementation and continuous improvement of Essity’s global technical safety program across LATAM. Acting as a subject matter expert, you will ensure that safety standards are embedded in equipment, processes, and engineering practices to safeguard our operations. Working closely with site teams and global stakeholders, you will drive consistency, elevate technical capabilities, and support risk assessment and mitigation strategies across multiple locations. This is a highly collaborative role with strong regional impact and visibility. What You Will Do Technical Safety Standards: Ensure technical safety requirements are applied consistently across sites, aligned with global standards and expectations Risk Assessments: Facilitate machinery and process safety risk assessments and support implementation of mitigation strategies Subject Matter Expertise: Provide expert guidance on safety systems, equipment protection, fire detection, and lifting devices Process Safety Development: Support development and deployment of global process safety tools and methodologies (e.g., risk assessment frameworks) Site Support & Audits: Conduct site visits to assess safety performance, support improvements, and follow up on action plans Capability Building: Train and coach site teams to strengthen technical safety knowledge and competencies Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration: Work with engineering teams, OEMs, and third parties to implement effective safety solutions Who You Are University degree or equivalent industrial experience in Engineering, Safety, or a related field At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing environments such as FMCG, chemical, converting, or paper production, with exposure to machinery safety Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment integration, and safety systems Strong influencing, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across multiple sites and cultures Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus What We Can Offer You Our purpose, Breaking Barriers to Well-being, provides meaning to everything we do.
