Is NOT on an active Performance Improvement Plan (PIP)   ​ Job Responsibilities Provide strategic direction and leadership in the execution of all regional import, export, duty savings, and special trade program activities Partner with Trade Compliance Center of Excellence to develop and implement global standard processes and procedures Align regional trade compliance activities with Global Trade Compliance strategic priorities and engage with key contributors across the business Maintain a high standard of compliance with Customs and other government agency laws and regulations Assess and implement system solutions to ensure proper documentation and procedures are maintained in accordance with regulations Minimize the risk of penalty and fines due to non-compliance Develop, implement and execute audit programs to measure compliance and perform risk assessments Identify compliance gaps, identify opportunities and recommend process improvements to leverage technology to create efficiencies and improve controls Identify and maximize opportunities for duty reduction Provide trade compliance direction and support for all Lincoln entities in the region. Manage Customs broker relationship Support and drive continuous improvement projects to ensure globally consistent best in class processes, systems, and standards. Keep abreast of all legislative and regulatory changes. Monitor regulations affecting international trade, assess impact and communicate compliance and customs requirements to key stakeholders. Monitor and report KPIs and metrics to senior management Directly manage and coach team of trade compliance team within the region Ensure business within region meet compliance regulations Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Business, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CUSECO, CCS, EU AEO) preferred 7+ years of progressive experience in international trade compliance and logistics, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in the European region Deep understanding of regional customs regulations, trade laws, country of origin and international transportation practice Experience of customs auditing practices and procedures Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement projects that drove measurable cost savings and operational enhancements Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills Fluent in English; additional European language skill would be an advantage Travel Required - up to 20% across Europe and globally, as required Flexible work schedule to accommodate virtual meetings with other regions/time zones   Lincoln Electric is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
