About the Role As an M&S Opticians Trainer, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality training programs to support our colleague development across the business. You will facilitate training sessions both remotely and in-store, assess learner performance, and provide constructive feedback to help employees grow. You will also collaborate with store and area managers to embed learning, enhance performance, and ensure training materials remain relevant. With a proactive and engaging approach, you will inspire teams to develop their skills, ultimately contributing to business success. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging training sessions both remotely and in-store Assess learners’ abilities, identify areas for improvement, and provide feedback Conduct follow-up visits to observe and support employees post-training Support Opticians managers in coaching and developing high-performing teams Stay up to date with new product launches and company procedures Ensure compliance with company policies and safeguarding regulations Travel to different locations for training Act as a positive ambassador for the company About You You are a passionate and confident trainer with strong communication and leadership skills. You have the ability to engage both large groups and individuals, adapting your approach to different learning styles. You excel at delivering high-quality training, are organised, proactive, and work well both independently and as part of a team. Committed to colleague development, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and continuously seek ways to improve training effectiveness. Key Requirements Strong presenting and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and within a team Confident in delivering training to large groups Competent computer skills Experience in optics and/or hearing Full, clean driving license and willingness to travel Passion for training, colleague development and excellent customer service
