Overview:
The Regional Training Manager (RTM) is responsible for linking training and performance development with company objectives to ensure organizational effectiveness and return on investment within their region. This position supports 20+ units in the assigned region.
Responsibilities:
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in Training & Talent Development
- Desirable formal education/certification with relevant studies in human resources, training, or organizational development
- Knowledge of overall hospitality operations
SKILLS
- General understanding of restaurant operations and food health and safety
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills (excellent platform skills, verbal, listening, writing)
- Strong leadership coaching skills
- Effective decision making skills and strong problem-solving skills
- Good financial management and negotiation skills

Responsibilities:
- Partner in driving business results through building effective working relationships with the Director of Training & Development, Area Vice President, Director of Operations/Regional GMs, Cafe leadership and various Corporate Support Center departments for their region.
- Tracks key operation indicators (Employee Satisfaction Survey, Guest Satisfaction Survey, SMG, P&L, attrition, etc.) to determine the efficiency, effectiveness and outcomes of current training and performance development initiatives within each property and make recommendations for enhancements.
- Protects and strengthens HRI competitive advantage by advocating and supporting sound business decision-making.
- Work with counterpart RTMs and Corporate HR Team to facilitate information exchange and new processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with the regional Director of Training & Development to assess, design, deploy, measure and evaluate training/ performance solutions and interventions.
- Ongoing development of and partnership in MIT program. Act as a mentor for the MIT Leaders and drives program execution through the operational leaders.
- Help support the internal leadership development process through company driven training programs.
- Provides instruction on how to effectively execute the training tools, change management, and project management tools to the leadership team.
- Ensures School of Hard Rock (LMS) compliance. Analyze to ensure that system capabilities are maximized. (E.g. reports, collaborative workspaces, tracking).
- Collaborate with AVPs, DOs, GMs & eLearning team members to provide, when needed, specific School of Hard Rock (LMS) learning pathways for high-potential candidates.
- Collaborate with the regional Director of Training & Development to identify and assess Certified Training Centers; provide initial and ongoing yearly certification.
- Partners with the regional team and property leaders to understand the business needs and develops relevant property training and performance improvement plans to support quality decisions and the overall customer experience.
- Will be required to facilitate training & development aspects of new store opening(s) in assigned region
- Effectively communicates with all levels of HRI leadership & cafe management teams.
- Present a professional & authentic image to employees, guests, clients, owners and investors.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships within the business and social community.
- Actively participate in company philanthropic initiatives.
- Work as a team, helping all employees to complete the required activities that ensure we blow away guest expectations & provide an unparalleled amplified experience.
- Maintain high morale & energy level.
- Operate ethically to protect the image of Hard Rock.
