Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As the Regional Transport General Manager, you will take full ownership of transport sites within your region and play a pivotal role in the strategic development of our Transport Network. You will lead multiple transport operations, manage change, and inspire performance to ensure we consistently meet our high standards of service and efficiency.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

  • Oversee and manage multiple transport operations within your region, ensuring optimal performance across all sites.
  • Lead and nurture Transport Operational teams, including Transport Managers, to cultivate a high-performing and supportive environment.
  • Strategically manage and develop the transport network within your region while collaborating nationally to optimize costs and unlock synergies.
  • Be accountable for performance metrics (KPI, Cost, Safety, Service, and People) of the transport operation.
  • Manage change within the network while upholding service levels and performance standards.
  • Monitor and encourage performance levels across all sites to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for the P&L for the region, driving cost efficiency and service excellence.
  • Strategically manage network planning to achieve cost efficiency and enhanced service delivery.

  • Proven experience in transport operations management, preferably within a logistics or supply chain environment.

  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage change effectively while maintaining service levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on performance metrics and continuous improvement.
