Summary The RN Nurse Trainer at Envision Unlimited is responsible for evaluating and addressing the medical, health, and safety needs of clients in host family residences. This role also involves providing training and authorization for non-licensed staff. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Essential Responsibilities Document client-specific medical needs and interventions to provide client progress notes. Monitor all aspects and review client medication regimes, including medication records, orders, bubble packs, and MARs. Conduct caregiver and staff medication training as well as skills observation on an ongoing basis. Respond to all telephone calls, emails, and messages 24/7 and provide appropriate nursing/medical directions as needed. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No supervisory responsibilities. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION, SKILLS, and/or EXPERIENCE Must have a current license from the State of Illinois as a Registered Nurse. CPR Certification. Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle. Two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably with 1 year working with the developmental disabilities' population. Be able to obtain a DHS Nurse Trainer Certificate within three months of employment.
