FULL TIME POSITION FOR 310T TRUCK TECHNICIAN APPRENTICE (2ND OR 3RD YEAR) - METRO TRUCK CALEDON LOCATION.

The Metro Truck Group is a full-service center for all heavy truck & trailer needs. We are rapidly growing and are currently looking for 310T Truck Technician Apprentices to join our team at our Caledon location!
Successful applicants must possess a team orientated attitude, and pride in a job well done and willingness to learn. Previous experience in a dealership or fleet setting considered a strong asset, as well as knowledge in Hino, Freightliner, Detroit, Cummins and Allison. The ideal candidate must beenrolled in Ontario’s Apprenticeship Program with the College of Trades in their 2nd or 3rd year.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 310T Apprentice 2nd or 3rd year

Responsibilities
  • 310T Apprentices shall work under the direction of a licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician, and complete service and repair tasks
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Inspect and test mechanical units, diagnose faults and malfunctions and, repair and replace mechanical units, test and adjust units to specifications
  • Identify and determine parts required for repair of disassembled units
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to confirm that they are in proper operating condition
  • Adjust and replace brakes, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment
  • Perform work with safety as a priority and abiding by all safety policies and standards set out by the Metro Truck Group of Companies
  • Commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment to ensure customer satisfaction
  • General housekeeping duties
  • All other responsibilities as assigned
