Description

We are looking to hire a GPhC registered Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) to accurately check prescriptions and support the efficient day-to-day running of our dispensary. You will have significant responsibility and autonomy for ensuring patient safety and will report to the Responsible Pharmacist.
This is an ideal role for someone who wants to challenge themselves in a fast-paced environment and manage the accuracy checking process and dispensary workflow in order to ensure patient safety and optimize pharmacy operations. You must be registered with the pharmacy regulator (GPhC)
Demonstrate high levels of professional expertise.
Have a passion for pharmacy and providing the best care for our customers.
Have a love of working collaboratively with a team-centered approach.
Have excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations and provisions of national and local services.
Role model communication skills; you will hold excellent face-to-face interactions to effectively meet the varied needs of customers and patients in pharmacy.
Be flexible in your working hours to suit the needs of the business.

Responsibilities

Follow our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operational guidelines.
Maintaining compliance with our practice standards.
Checking dispensed prescriptions and sending out orders via our couriers.
Managing the Pharmacy near misses and creating action plans.
Working with the Risk and Safety team to root cause and resolve incidents.
Working proactively with Service and other internal teams to ensure orders are dispatched in a timely manner.
Proactive problem-solving and innovation, contributing towards service development and patient experience.
Working with the Pharmacy Manager to train and develop the Pharmacy workforce.
Working with the Pharmacy Manager and Supply Chain team to manage inventory.
