QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed Architect with active membership in the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA)
  • In-depth knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
  • Experience in commercial interiors (e.g. restaurants, offices, retail) preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities
  • Independently lead and manage architectural design for commercial projects
  • Prepare permit-ready drawings in compliance with the Ontario Building Code (OBC)
  • Stamp and sign drawings as a licensed OAA Architect
  • Support the submission and processing of building permit applications
  • Participate in client meetings and provide technical/design guidance
  • Coordinate with engineering, project management, and construction teams
  • Respond to municipal feedback and facilitate zoning/building code revisions
