MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires 48 college credits or DOE certification (Paraeducator II)
  • Has met all requirements outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and holds a valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification issued by the BACB.
  • Previous experience working with children or individuals with behavioral challenges, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of behavior analysis principles and applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with school staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • Current certificate in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training or equivalent training or willingness to obtain through the District.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the BCBA, teachers, and other school staff to assess and analyze the behavior of students with identified challenges.
  • Implement behavior intervention plans designed by the BCBA to address specific skill acquisition and behavioral goals and objectives.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing positive behaviors and teaching alternative, appropriate behaviors.
