REGISTERED BEHAVIOUR ANALYST / ABA COORDINATOR
1.0 FTE – Temporary (August 25, 2025 to July 3, 2026)
Salary Range for a Registered Behaviour Analyst: $76,095 – $93,939 per year
Salary Range for an ABA Coordinator: $68,663 - $84,641 per year
The Simcoe County District School Board is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Registered Behaviour Analyst/ABA Coordinator working with our Special Education Services department. The Registered Behaviour Analyst/ABA Coordinator is responsible for providing support to school teams in the form of consultation, coaching and modelling for the purpose of integrating the principles of ABA as outlined in the Ministry of Education’s Policy and Program Memorandum (PPM) 140. The Registered Behaviour Analyst’s/ABA Coordinator’s primary focus is to support programs for students with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and other related exceptionalities. The successful incumbent will be responsible for designing and providing professional development to school board personnel, enhancing the collaboration with home teams and outside agencies, and is a member of the Connections for Students transition team, working with school and board team members to facilitate seamless transitions.
This position will have a board focus on supporting programs for students with an ASD, and other related exceptionalities, in the application of the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis as outlined in the Ministry of Education’s Policy and Program Memorandum (PPM) 140: individualization; generalization of skills; data collection; use of reinforcement; and the planning of transitions. The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in working with students with an ASD across grade levels, knowledge of community supports, and a thorough understanding of the application of ABA to a school setting.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Preference will be given to candidates with: Successful experiences working with school teams, with an emphasis on the application of ABA; experience providing support to educators across three divisions; and evidence of on-going professional development in Ministry and Board special education initiatives related to Special Education, ASD, and ABA. Experience should indicate strengths in leadership, coaching, organizational, interpersonal, and instructional skills.
