Assists Cardiologists and other physicians as required. Reports to and is supervised by the Nurse-in-Charge of the Cardiac Cath Lab under the direction of the Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab. Holy Cross Hospital has earned Cardiac Interventional Center designation by the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS) Responsibilities: The incumbent should possess excellent knowledge of radiographic, cardiac, and peripheral vascular anatomy with an ability to use a wide variety of specialized radiographic equipment/technical instruments including pressure injectors, digital imaging, and patient monitoring equipment. Must have knowledge of appropriate catheters and guide-wires for specific procedures and the ability to work under stressful conditions. Identifies care needs of patients/significant others and implements interventions and utilizes equipment necessary to meet the specific needs of the patient population served to include: young adults, middle adults, late adults. This individual should have knowledge of safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure to patients, co-workers, and self; also to include use of shielding materials and patient restraint devices as well as an understanding of sterilization techniques. What you will need Required: Must have Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) designation by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) organization or a nationally recognized agency that conducts programmatic accreditation for cardiovascular technology, diagnostic cardiac sonography, or vascular technology. Registered in the State of Maryland. BLS certification (American Heart Association) Minimum one year experience in Cardiac Cath Lab highly preferred. Pay Range: $45.20 - $67.79 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
