Registered Care Attendant Aspira Peninsula Retirement Living - 2088 152 St, Surrey, BC V4A 9Z4 Rate of Pay: $23.70/hr This posting is for an existing vacancy. This is a Casual (on-call) position to pick up shifts when we are short staffed. As a Registered Care Attendant, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care that supports residents’ health, safety, and overall well-being. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day. What makes you a great fit? * Maintains resident records and required documentation in accordance with policies and procedures and legislative requirements * Must be able to perform medication assistance and care tasks, including: BP monitoring, Catheter care, Assistance with ROM, mobility/movement exercises, medication assistance/administration including eye drops, eye ointments, inhalers, nebulizers, PRN medication, insulin injections, transdermal medication patch, inserting rectal suppository, application of topical ointments as delegated or when part of routine assistance of daily living * Monitors resident well-being in accordance with the policy of the residence * Performs other related duties as required to support common area cleaning, laundry and resident care assignments * Completes all aspects of resident care as outlined in the personal service plan * Answers all resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provides courteous service * Performs other duties as assigned What you need to know: * Registered with the BC Care Aide Registry * Successful completion of Care Aid certificate program * Medication Certification is required * Experience with medication assistance * Current First Aid/CPR training * Excellent command of the verbal and written English language skills * Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team * All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check * You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit * Sienna Senior Living may utilize artificial Intelligence to screen or assess applicants for this position Sienna Senior Living is committed to employment equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
