We are a growing organisation with exciting plans to expand across the sector, and we’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead the launch of our very first children’s home.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s residential setting
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or working towards)
  • Extensive knowledge of Ofsted frameworks and quality standards
  • Proven leadership, team-building, and organisational skills
  • Experience working with children with EBD
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Enhanced DBS clearance

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking an exceptional individual to manage and oversee the daily operations of a new residential children’s home. The home will cater for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
As the Registered Manager, you will play a critical role in establishing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations. This is a unique opportunity to lead a brand-new home from the ground up, with full support from an experienced senior leadership team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage the operational delivery of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Ofsted Quality Standards and relevant legislation
  • Ensure the Statement of Purpose accurately reflects the functions and activities of the home.
  • Build and maintain a committed, motivated, and effective staff team
  • Oversee care planning and ensure children’s individual needs and outcomes are met
  • Effectively manage resources, staffing, and budgets
  • Act as the home’s Registered Manager with Ofsted, preparing for and responding to inspections
  • Foster a positive, child-centred environment that supports development and emotional well-being
