REGISTERED MANAGER – EBD CHILDREN’S HOME

Location: Bristol
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per year (dependent on experience and qualifications)

REQUIREMENTS

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Essential
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy in a residential children’s setting – Essential
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection legislation.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, child-centred care.
• Eligible to register with Ofsted.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a children’s home in Bristol, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a rewarding opportunity to shape the lives of vulnerable children in a therapeutic and nurturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the children’s home in line with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
• Ensure high standards of care and support for young people with complex needs.
• Develop and maintain care plans, risk assessments, and support strategies.
• Recruit, train, and supervise a team of residential care staff.
• Promote safeguarding and ensure the welfare of all children in the home.
• Build strong working relationships with local authorities, social workers, and families.
• Manage budgets and ensure cost-effective service delivery.
• Prepare for and respond to Ofsted inspections, aiming for “Good” or “Outstanding” ratings.
