OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental professionals in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Duties:

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using dental software (Open Dental)
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including handling patient inquiries.
  • Support orthodontic procedures and assist with pediatric dental care when required.
  • Certification in Dental Assisting

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Several (3+) years of experience
  • Ortho module
  • Airway-centric exposure
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A willingness to learn very complex dentistry assisting- doing implants, orthodontics, early intervention development, TMD pain and sleep dentistry
  • Be able to work well within a team approach to referral-based dentistry (ENT, ortho, perio, sleep physician, myofunctional therapy, etc)
  • Able to be an active team member in our very busy and experienced general dental practice the other 2 days
  • IV sedation module would be a bonus as we do a couple of days per month doing sedations and surgeries.
