JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures and a strong understanding of dental terminology, as well as the ability to assist in both general and specialized dentistry, including pediatric dentistry.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of general dentistry practices.
  • Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus, along with knowledge of prosthodontics and endodontics.
  • Proficiency in using medical imaging equipment.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, insuring positive first impression of the clinic.
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
  • Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical coding, while maintaining confidentiality according to HIPAA standards.
  • Utilize EMR systems for efficient patient management.
  • Perform chairside assisting duties, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for treatment.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Assist with pediatric patients, demonstrating patience and understanding of their unique needs.
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use.
