OVERVIEW

We are seeking a diligent Dental Assistant to join our family dental practice. We focus on delivering the highest quality dental care and take pride in the long-term relationships we form. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to learn effectively in a fast-paced environment. We do almost all dental procedures in house and willing to train in any procedure your are interested in learning.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with various dental procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of infection control practices to maintain a safe environment for patients.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
  • Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not required.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning new techniques and improving skills within the field of dentistry.

    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, surgery, root canal procedures and orthodontics.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Monitor vital signs and assist with patient management during procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations.
