JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our new and flourishing dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. You will assist with various dental procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in dental assisting practices with hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
  • Familiarity with dental software systems. Experience with Cleardent considered an asset.
  • Experience with iTero Scans.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Cleardent.
  • Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
  • Maintain sterilization of instruments and cleanliness of the treatment area in accordance with health regulations.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
