JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and chairside assisting techniques, as well as proficiency in using dental software and equipment.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques.
  • Experience with medical coding, Epic systems, or other relevant software is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of prosthodontics, endodontics, general dentistry, and pediatrics is a plus.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical records management.
  • Utilize EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient patient management.
  • Conduct four-handed dentistry to enhance the efficiency of dental procedures.
  • Monitor vital signs and provide support to patients during treatment.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards.
  • Assist with pediatric dentistry tasks, ensuring a comfortable environment for younger patients.
  • Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when necessary.
