The Dental Assistant contributes to AHF by supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered oral healthcare and ensuring a positive, efficient patient experience. Under the direction of the Dental Director, this role provides essential clinical and operational support that enables providers to deliver safe, timely, and compliant care. The Dental Assistant enhances the reputation of AHF by being a patient advocate, reinforcing education, promoting comfort and safety, and contributing to a welcoming, respectful care environment. This role operates as a collaborative team member, proactively supporting clinic efficiency, communicating effectively across functions, and identifying opportunities to enhance workflow and service delivery. You will be a passionate advocate for our top initiatives. To be successful as the Dental Assistant, it is crucial to ensure that the AHF Core Values and Mission stay top of mind with all that you do. The RDA will work as a part of a close-knit team to provide excellent patient care. Key responsibilities include coordinating patient flow and scheduling to support access and continuity of care; preparing patients and operatories for treatment; providing chairside assistance utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques; performing radiographic and adjunctive duties in accordance with licensure; maintaining strict infection control and sterilization standards; ensuring accurate and timely clinical documentation; supporting inventory and equipment readiness; and assisting with verification of patient eligibility through established systems QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Dental Assistant in the state of Texas; minimum one year experience preferred; radiology certification; Spanish speaking bilingual required; strong written and verbal communication skills; and experience with dental software.
