The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is responsible to assist the Dental Provider in all phases of restorative, prosthodontic, surgical, endodontic, pediatric and periodontal treatment as provided in general dentistry. Serves as a liaison between the Dental Providers and Care Team supervisor to ensure patients receive appropriate care. The RDA must interact in a positive manner with staff, patients, families, and members of the community. Primary Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions: * Use EMR to keep accurate records of patient's current dental and medical history. * Follows infection control protocol by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment. * Reviews patient's medical history, medications and proper patient identifiers * Prepares patients for treatment and ensures patient is as comfortable as possible during dental procedures. * Takes x-rays as needed and prepares materials for impressions and restorations. * Communicates with both patient and dental provider of treatment plan during procedure. * Maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. * Refers patient as needed (orthodontist, periodontist, endodontist and oral surgeon). * Informs patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provides oral health education. * Schedule and confirm appointments, receive patients, keep treatment records, and monitor daily supplies for restocking.  Qualifications: * Completion of high school or equivalent and 1 year of experience in a dental office setting preferred. * Registered Dental Assistant Licensure REQUIRED * X-ray certification REQUIRED * Current CPR training * Experience with EMR's (EPIC, Dentrix & Dexis) * Dental and medical terminology knowledge preferred * Ability to prioritize while paying attention to detail. * Collaborates with a wide variety of staff members to ensure daily patient care productivity goals are met. * De-escalates challenging situations that may arise with patients and/or staff. * Bilingual in Spanish or Khmer, preferred  Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00- $27.00 per hour Benefits:  GENEROUS COMPANY BENEFITS – Including 100% Company-paid medical plan  100% Company-premium paid medical plan (We offer a Blue Shield plan that provides coverage at a zero payroll deduction to employees.)  * Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance * Company Paid Life Insurance * 401k with Employer contribution * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) * Flexible Spending Account (FSA) * AFLAC * United PetCare Program * Paid Time Off (PTO) - 22.9 days per year  If you want to work for a growing system of community health centers which is committed to providing quality care or patients of all ages and to the growth, education, and development of its staff, then TCC Family Health has a great employment opportunity for you.
